Life just doesn't get much better than that...

00:47 Feb 26 2013
Times Read: 628

Sunday I’d been pleased to see Barry and, go travelling; ending up at Moreton Shore as we like and had an egg toasted sandwich, which I do so like. Later I was up into the early hours, finishing a story. The thing was I ended up writing through the morning, typing up what I'd finished, the emailing it to the person that I'd used as a character in the story. Unfortunately, my late night meant that I woke the next morning with a heavy head and panda-eyes. I had got the housework done with Dad and cooked the evening meal with him, before checking my emails -- and it turned out that the girl I'd used as a character liked the story I'd written. Other than an egg toasted sandwich and a stroll on Moreton Prom, Life just doesn't get much better than that...

a walk calls me...

I have faceache and backache still. Well, one is worse than usual, the other I thought would be cured by the antibiotics... either way, I still have my silly.

One nights sleep would help: specially ‘coz the back needs rest; but, catarrh and faceache keep me awake till the early hours, OR I listen to hear if Dad is resting. I am running on empty: hence being fatigued and prone to this sorta thing.

tho, that said... tis sunny and, a walk calls me.

inoperable!?!

02:30 Feb 17 2013
Times Read: 650

The alarm that I’d been using had not woken me up, for whatever reasons and, I’d woken to the sounds of my Dad making his breakfast. I knew I’d not been late, but would be soon. So, as I had opened the curtains and seen the falling snow I decided to phone the doctors. As it was, Dad had decided to give me a lift. “You never go out in the snow,” I’d said. “Well,” he’d replied, “I am now.” It turns out my left knee isn’t as bad as my Doctor had thought and, she said it might be referred pain, when I’d explained about my hip. I had left her office with a prescription for Doxycycline for the sinusitis and, an appointment for xray, again. Come the afternoon the snow that had fallen turned to slush as it rained, a light incessant rain, as I travelled. And, on the bus, after the train I'd met a fellow from Transylvania with a suitcase, twice; the second time after my xray, as I walked down the corridor and saw him coming toward me. As he passed, I heard him tell the woman with me how he’d met me on the bus there. Thankfully, when my bus arrived, the driver let me sit on while he ran his safety checks and had a break, as it was so damn inclement outside. After waiting all of a year and a month to see Doctor Eastwood, I’d been with him all of ten minutes, if that; just to tell him that the impingement had eased the pain in my left shoulder, after a really violent headache; as it happens, down on Moreton shore, after an egg batch and a tea at the shack. After doing fish ‘n chips an omelette for tea, I saw Barry in the evening and we watched ‘Utopia’ episode five. It seemed that Wythenshaw Hospital isn’t a good place to be, according to the news and, Barry’s son’s wife. And, much later, I watched ‘Dune’ as I typed into the night, listening to the rainfall, outside my window; still feeling a tad miffed that I’d had to ring Barry to cancel me travelling with him the Thursday, as I’d already assured Dad that I’d be there for him, when the fellow came to change the meter. I hadn’t seen ‘Dune’ all the way through in many, many years and, I’d enjoyed doing so this time… Just couldn’t get my head round it, ‘am inoperable. I had been right; the impingement's a bit better. but the rest, inoperable...’

I did go to the project, albeit I’d run late: it’s just that my heart had not been innit, as much as it normally does. It’d been reet bugger, feeling so low physically, mentally and emotionally. One thing that happened that was ‘nice’, was receiving a Valentines Card from Chloe. That’d been sweet, even the pinhead she gave her drawing of me, blaming the 81a for it being so shaky. Anyway, come Friday the weather was good and after the housework I’d taken myself a walk to Raby Mere to clear my head. The walk had been good and had been just what the doctor had ordered, for me. Well, the next day I’d been pleased to see Barry and, go travelling; ending up at Moreton Shore at one point and having an egg toasted sandwich, which I do so like.

a week of disappointments

01:16 Feb 12 2013
Times Read: 661

It was a week of disappointments: the fellow who helps me acquire films is avoiding me, for no reason I can see and, a penfriend from Wallasey hasn’t been in touch since Christmas and, my sinus are bad bad as they’ve been in years; it rained when I went to sign-on and, after a busy night at the project, when people kept reminding me of Roger’s bad back, I got home, from the project feeling hyper and in a great deal of pain In my spine… and, who wants to know?” no-one, it seems, at present…

Well the sinus got worse over the week and, I felt energy-less, quite totally energy-less. Thankfully I had felt well enough to have a few walks, sign-on and do my voluntary work. In other words, I carried on as normal, albeit with the worst catarrh I’ve felt in my face, for ages. That said, I’d slept a lot and, lost my sense of taste and, not really felt like doing much of anything.

I did hear from the penfriend tho and that was good…

Monday afternoon I went to Raby Mere, to aid the sinusitis; perfect sky; beautiful light and **sobs** no camera

I guess little camera’s journey’s out meant the damp weather finally gotto the motherboard…

It had been a good, well-needed walk: tho this faceaches annoying me and, I goto the painclinic on the 14th. the appt I've waited awhile for and, I’ll see the doctor bout the xray in the morning.

at least... I tried

00:08 Feb 06 2013

Come Sunday my sinus were beginning to play up, due to the air pressure change. Barry called and, despite the headcold, the walk was good. We went to Ramsbottom, which I can't saying without either laughing, or wanting to laugh. I even made an effort to conquer a fear: vertigo. I managed to get halfway across a pipe across a river, but could go no further forward, before I needed Barry’s help. Ah well, at least I’d tried. And, my little old, digital camera’s Motherboard finally gave up the ghost, while I was out: it had left me gutted, particularly as where I had been was so damn lovely to look at.

busy enough...

01:13 Feb 01 2013
Times Read: 651

After a very windy night, that did nothing to promote a good nights sleep, meaning mine; I arose on Wednesday with the aim of going out to pick up a prescription. Well, after looking out at the blue sky and heard the wind, I had prevaricated further, getting my Dad’s bed changed before I went my walk, as I putting ‘Solomon Kane and Jonah Hex’ to DVD. I’d returned home with burning knees, then made my chicken casserole and dumplings, which Dad and I had enjoyed, but I finally got to rest my knees.

Then Thursday morning as I was doing the housework with Dad I looked out of the window, to note that Dad had what he talks of wanting, a second drying day in a row. So before finishing off my end of the housework, I stripped my bed, so he could get it into the wash, then as he fixed the hose to the vacuum, I had got the bedding put out on the line, to bring it back in after getting my meds from the chemist, as the wind blew, reminding me as my walk had the day before, my joints don’t like the cold wind. That said, the weather was still pleasant, as I sat in the back room and went on the PC awhile, before toddling off to voluntary work… The night itself had been busy enough for my needs and, I’d even sone some wring whist on the train that I’d been quite pleased with…
